mckinnon is an improvement on phelps without doubt the only concern for me is his injury record in which phelpsy isnt much better either.

how much more cash will McKinnon be on compared to Phelps?

we will never know but i expect mckinnon to be on more then phelps how much i dont know but thats sport you have to pay more for better players but the problem could be losing strengh in the forwards

Recruitment for 2012 starts early and at the time of the McKinnon signing Phelps was either sat in the stands for large chunks with a dodgy hamstring or not exactly ripping up trees on the pitch. Recently I believe Phelps has been very good but took some winning over.



Hull obviously feel McKinnon is the better full back and thought that the full back position is important enough to prioritise the signing back in May/June.



Although Phelps recent form may beg the question why do we need a new full back think back to earlier in the season when the signing was actually made.

I believe agar wants moa to stay and i believe he will,how much do us fans think he is worth?i cant see the club been held to ransom so my guess him and is agent may have to have a rethink,not as if hes a ogre or fitz is he.

i like moa and hope he stays but i think some on here big him up far to much hes a luxury type of player but someone like ogre is far more important player for the team and deserves the bigger money.

Losing strength in the forwards to bring in backs with the ability to change and win games almost single handedly wouldnt be a bad thing.



Teams know if they can match us in the forwards the game is as good as won because we lack any real quality skill/nous/kicking wise in the key back positions.

Good point about the forwards.....thats why Heremenia????? is a awful signing...we have Obst to cover Houghton along with Washy and Newton as we will Have Horne,Nicklas,Ellis and SEymour as Halves.......So signing him means we are going to lose in the forward dept.

why is mckinnon a stupid signing?, the guy is better then phelps and plays in a very important posistion thats key to having a good attacking team which we clearly need to improve. yes he may be on more money but its about balancing the squad and people in the past and currently slag the club of for spending more money on the forwards and now agar has decided to make sure we have a good players in the spine of the team which we aint had for years but its important we bring in 1 or 2 good english forwards

i know what your saying about heremia and sort of agree, personally i woundt of signed him and would of got a good overseas forward but maybe agar has 1 or 2 good english forwards lined up and is willing to use the quota spot on a good player in a key posistion. again personally i actually think heremia will go well for us and give us a totall diffrent attacking game from hooker but its important we get 1 or 2 good forwards

agree we need to strenghen the key posistion in the pivots but losing fitz and lauaki which it looks like and not replaciong them would have a huge effect and not in a good way.

Which is why I am surprised we havent seen one of Green, Kent or Cunningham play Super League this year so far.
