Didnt Agar state 'he has no intention of signing Gleeson'......thought I heard that during the weekend!!!!!!!!!!

All I heard him say about Gleeson was that he was a guest of Sean Long as they are good mates. You can catch it on the end of the interview on FCTV.

Agreed, he's definitely a lot better than anything we have at the moment. Two problems with it though; if he got sacked for similar reasons to Tansey then it rather defeats the object of us sacking Tansey, aswell as making us look a bit hypocritical. Second, if we were getting him I'd imagine our appeal to him has a fair bit to do with Long being here, ergo it would probably involve Long getting a deal for next year, which would be a joke IMO and not a price I'd want to pay for getting Gleeson in.

Agree with all of that, I personally don't think the club would go through all the tansey stuff and sign somebody like Gleeson. Although based on ability and a short term one chance basis on a reduced contract I wouldn't be totally against it.

gleeson got a club for next year, signing for hull this week until end of the season. he will do a good job on the right. especially in defence!

Maybe we've just agreed to take him off their hands, allowing them to get rid without compo and Gleeson to get a club for the rest of the season (IF they are going to sack him!)

I remember Agar coming out in Monday's RL press before we signed Westerman denying we were interested in him, so I try and take what I read with a pinch of salt.



I've got mixed feelings about this...on a positive side the club needs a lift and there is no doubt we could do with a specialist centre down our right side, IMO he will help Sharp out too...but then like people say after Tansey's departure we may look desperate and abit of a joke.
