| Quote garry brindley="garry brindley"Thanks for that insight into my psyche, you've made me realise that people like you are not only better fans, but better human beings than myself. You are of course 100% correct in everything you say, and I will promptly stop pretending to care about the club from this day forth.

How can a pass be sold "at a loss"
Unless they were sold below the cost to print them, whats that? about £2?

You were having a bit of a pop mate. I'm not going to go into this again cos it's been done on other threads but it's not as if I'm rooting for our opposition. All I'll say is to think about what is better for the long-term future of the club, beating Crusaders on Friday and buying Agar more time, or losing to them and the potential to force change that that has. It's just pragmatism and you don't have to agree with it, but it's far from unreasonable.

Agar is going to get sacked some time this season but it looks like it will be later rather than sooner and until then I'd like us to pick up as many points as possible.

I thought i read somewhere they were losing money on them and when you consider they sold over 10k at £60 it could well be classed as a loss as they rely on the money from those to pay other things. So technically you are correct they lost no money on the passes but in the big scheme they may have done.
It does however show how desperate a club can get after years of dismal performances and will do almost anything to get people back through the gates.

Probably a bit more than that once you add in costs of administration and distribution.
In practical terms, if their total income from passes this season is less than it was last season then they've been sold at a loss. That might be offset by increases in merchandising and/or food and drink sales if the extra passholders are people who didn't attend at all in previous seasons.

I understand your sentiments, if FC lose on Friday and Agar was sacked I doubt very few supporters would be too worried about the loss tbh, I know I certainly would not.

Huddersfield ran a similar thing the other year I believe.

That's the thing though, he isn't guaranteed to go at some point this season anyway, and every time we pick up points that gives the board more of an excuse to keep him. I think another 2 or 3 defeats now and it will bring the situation to a head, then we have an opportunity to bring in a proper coach (whether we appoint one or not is a different matter, I accept) and we could potentially reap the rewards at the end of the season.

Theirs was directly subsidised by Davy though, so they were guaranteed to at least break even on the deal.

I don't think he'll go before mid season regardless - unless we lose every single game between now and then. By which time our season will be dead anyway.

Oh right, suppose Bulls have no option though they need to get the supporters back, the way things are going I genuinely fear we could be another Bradford with 1000s of fans stopping going, especially in this financial market (Hope to god I am wrong though)...
Mind you it will be nice to be enticed back with a £60 season pass deal
