Not 100% but I think it has more to do with residency so I would suspect he would become a non fed.

i suppose the confusion comes in the "fed trained" or "non-fed trained", as usually you are just focusing on nationality, therefore if big sam married our lass (she has a thing for him), he would still be non-fed trained even though he could be a british citizen
