A unknown superstar, if you're that bothered, read the original statement if you think it's "a joke". Ben isn't being paid and has just returned from injury, what's wrong with playing him in the reserves?

I would agree, regardless of the player/club, it should be accross the board.

There's a good arguement for that, but given the nature of his employment I think depriving Ben of being able to regain and sustain match fitness after an injury would just be another punishment on top of his judicial charge as well as his ban from first team selection and no pay, which is enough of a punishment in my opinion.

why? they've suspended him theirselves without pay. he's rugby player,would you rather they just had him sat at home and not allowed to train either?

When someone is suspended they usually can't go into work at all.

It was obvious from the wording of Rovers statement at the time of Cockaynes punishment that he would be eased back into action through the reserves in order for him not to lose his match fitness before his first team suspension finishes.

Not saying i agree with it but can you really blame Rovers given that we seem to have taken a lonely stand in punishing players?

I am not having a pop, in fairness Rovers have handled the situation very well all told.

I repeat, for the sake of those who missed it the first time that the quote of the game was when Barmy Ben got injured and one wag shouted "Is that your kicking leg Ben".
