| I might have the name wrong but didn't Peter Spring play for us for a couple of seasons. When he arrived he was overweight and a bit rubbish thinking he was here for an easy ride - I think he carried the ball into a tackle against Wigan and was punched in the top of the head and it took him a few games to recover. But then, if I've got the right man, he started training like a demon, broke all the clubs weight-lifting records and really put it about on the pitch. I know I'm being a bit vague but I'm pretty sure he turned out to be a fans favourite and was an FC Hardman.

Tony worked as a bouncer at Henry's on Anlaby Road.
One night, walking home from town circa 1am, I passed Henrys
and a guy was thrown out the club, but thrown in the air over a lot of descending steps ,
the guy landed in the middle of Anlaby Road.
Nobody messed with Tony!!

| How about Adam Maher - i think sometimes the hardmen are the ones were opposition players are intimidated to even try to start something - and after Maher launched about 20 punches into Lomax (Huddersfield) in about 10 seconds I think that definitely helped!

Lomax that's who I was trying to recall earlier. Maher was hard but didn't go around bullying people, however as Lomax found out he was no shringking violet either and had clearly seen the inside of a boxing gym in his earlier years.

Was that near the players tunnel at the Boulevard?
I think Maher would have more then held is own with anyone else mentioned in this thread, he just chose to quietly go about his business.
