| Is anyone else feeling a bit depressed about the Manu and McKinnon news?
Really didn't want to see Manu leave. Best player in the squad, gonna miss him as a team. Was looking forward to seeing him and Ellis in the second row next year!
And heard all the rumours about McKinnon, but didn't think it'd actually happen!

| I haven't heard of him before today, and it's only a one month loan isn't it?

| It's never dull at Hull. We're due some good news/luck soon. . . . Please.
It's Pearson I feel for. Since him taking over we've had :- Gleeson gate, the Briscoe balls up, the Catalan catastrophe, Allam's agro, Manu misery and now Wade's wave, an awful injury list to key players, coupled with a rather large tax bill and atrocious weather for virtually every match, he has a right to feel aggrieved.

yeah but Wigan have one of the best squads going, and Radlinski supposedly rates him very highly both as a young player and a person. I think he wants the superleague experience to boost his chances for first team action at Wigan, but he's gonna need a lot to secure regular fullback games there...
get him signed up!

Yes. I'm consoling myself that they're both old regime signings and Gentle et al will have better to come in their places

Pretty much the way I'm looking at it. Both McRae and Gentle were keen to stress when they were recruited that they had to "work with the signings that had been made" inferring that the personnel would have been different this year had it been their own choice of player recruits. Willie is a loss but he wanted more than the value (either in money or time) than Hull placed on him. Let's just see who we get instead.
We haven't done too badly this year with "making the most of" Agar's team. Can't wait for next year with Gentle's.

| well its been information overload this last couple of days here in hull. people from each of the 3 pro clubs in this city putting positve or negative spins on each saga. and for hull fc i feel its an unwellcome distraction. but over all im still of the opinion that we are in very good hands. so here is some quick fire summerise to some of what has taken place
1. 32year old Manu turns down 3 year deal with hull and is aloud to talk to other clubs..... ok yes he is a devastating player but at his age you've gotta be thinking his best has been and gone and fc were probably uncomfortable having offered the 3 year and just maybe have dodged a bullet, if god forbid he goes on to have a torrid time with fitness who ever signs his would rightly have to admit they've only got there selves to blame.
2. McKinnon, gone!..... so he dont like it here, boohoo! wipe ya mouth son. thanks for the trys, but ya better off out the way and off the cap if ya gonna be sulking all over the place. he could have been a hero this year but some ladled him a villain. but on the grand sachem of things ultimately his involvement at the club will be forgettable. im very much looking forward to an excellent fullback coming in at the end of the season.
3. Adam Pearson sacked from his role at city..... i cant help but feel this says a hell of a lot more about the Allams than it ever will about Adam. and whats more i reckon we are in better hands than what city are in. the most obvious issue for us now is Allams involvement with the running of the stadium coz i wouldn't put anything past the Allams. i really do feel sorry for the city fans. id be worried about the Allams intentions. They creeped me out over the attempted purchase of the kc. what they offered to do was wonderful and as a city we should have been excited over it but deep down i didnt trust them. and thankfully neither did the council. who knows what else they are capable of when some thing upsets them.
4. Turner turning down contracts at hull and being connected with other clubs..... no positive spin on this for me. really hope this one is resolved.

Disappointed? Yes. Depressed? No.
Players come and players go. I'm still very confident that Pearson and Gentle will lead us to much better times.

Regarding Turner, he wants to move closer to his family, so can't blame him for that, plus I think everyone is getting a bit carried away with Turner, he played has played well against the likes of Cas and Rovers, but it still to perform against one of the top sides.

actually, ive made similar points about the hype surrounding turner but the fact that he is young and British is a real shame. but there is no getting away from it. he IS replaceable
