As a fellow non fan of the kit, I completely disagree.



First off, we've had some very decent kits in recent years. We got a decent deal out of kooga eventually then left when the going was good and O Neills are a decent company with one bad design so far.



But some of the 90s and early 2000 kits make this one look amazing. Our French flag kit? Our Awful Fulham style kit with the printed on sponsors and badge cluttered at the top? Hell, last year we had the worst kit of all time in that flesh coloured monstrosity and an actual crack on the shorts.



It's merely the colours which don't go, I don't know why anyone plumps for grey kits. They are always terrible without fail. Including that Scouser one the Kopites all love. But let's not overreact. I suspect you will see a decent home kit this year and that's the one most of us will be wearing on the day.

Having seen the kit in person now I can confirm it looks better than in the pictures. It's not bad. Certainly not that bad for kids.

Your kit is a great example of demand and supply and a great maketing ploy to boost.



People are dying to get their hands on new kit at this time of year, so will buy just about anything, the club know this so release the away kit first knowing that this normally sells much less than the home, people can not wait so rush out and buy it. When the home kit comes out people will realise that is what they really wanted all along especially if it is much better than the away kit. The fact that it will be black and white will pull at the heart string, thus people who would normally only buy one shirt end up with two, job done.



It is similar to things like the ipone, when the first iphone came out people new that it was not the finished article and that an upgrade would soon follow, yet they just had to have it before soon realising that the next model was the one they really wanted.
