| I think it was a good turn out from both sets of fans for a friendly on a cold winters day. I don't think we will get anywhere near that when Wire come to our place. For a game that probably didn't really apeal to a lot of fans 1700 (which is my estimate) is good. Well done Widnes fans.

| Quote J20="J20"Are we saying wire brought more? You had the smallest stand remember and put both sides of Vikings in there would of been full I reckon. Did think crowd looked more the 4,000 Mark!'"
Yeah we are. The East Stand (where we was located) holds 2500, we probably filled it from what I could see, and if we didnt at the very minimum even if there was 500 seats left free, which their wasn't, thats 2000. Now, I'm no expert at Maths, but thats 2000 minium for us and the attendance was 3700 or close to that, thats 1700 Widnes fans.

| I was always sceptical when we were at Hilton Park and you could pay cash on the gate. The place was full the seasons when we won the Premiereship, as it was then and they used to say todays attendance is 3500. When we were in SL the place was half full and they used to say that the attendances were 4, 5 and 6 thousand. Cash turnstyles.

The East Stand holds 1,450. There was plenty of empty seats up each side of the stand and around the front, plus plenty of empty seats here and there amongst the main body of Wire supporters.
In my opinion, there was around 1,700-1,800 in that stand. When you are in amongst it, it seems fuller than it actually is but, from outside looking in, it clearly wasn’t full. It was a great turn out either way, by your fans, and I’m not complaining about it. If it turns out that there was 2,000 Wire fans there, I’d be surprised, but I’m not too sure what difference it would make to anything.

The East Stand opened in 2005, the East Stand means that the Stobart Stadium Halton is finally complete. A fantastic new structure which houses one large concourse bar with fantastic facilities for all.
East Stand Seating Capacity: 2443

You're not wrong. The smugness form some of them for beating a part time side with 18% of your salary cap is a bit embarrasing. God help us if you ever win the GF.

Yes, yes, my bad. I wrote 1,450 instaed of 2,450. If you read the rest of my post you'll see I said that there was at least 1,700-1,800 in there. That wouldn't have been possible in a stand which only holds 1, 450.

Pepe, Pepe. Our Wire friends will sieze upon your spelling mistake as another reason why we might struggle in SL. Get your together.

| The way i saw it was it was their youngsters against ours for a lot of the game with them backed up with a couple of class SL players who ran the game. Solomona was involved in the first 3 tries for them, scoring one of them. At one point i counted 5 of our players on him and he still managed to offload the ball. When they took him off with Higham and a couple of others it gave our lads a a bit more of a chance to attack. I wasn't very impressed with the new second rower from Leigh and Gardner was shocking at times. Flynn missed a couple of tackles but he always ran the ball back at full pace and made an impact. Mullally impressed and i thought although he did well when he was on, Owen shouldn't have got MOM after just 15 minutes.
A nice taste of rugby league for both sets of fans but id rather us play somebody in our division in a warm up game, give the lads more of an opportunity to show us how they can attack and score tries.

Smugness? No, I was just asking was that your first team out there yesterday, because if it was I worry for you, because we had our second team out.

We'll leave it their I think. If you think that there was 700 seats spare then, I think its best to leave it be.

| I thought Warrington were superb in the first half an hour. Solomona in particular, almost unplayable. They had a decent side out so the score line is pretty respectable, especially considering the half time scoreline, Widnes help up well in the second half. Widnes had a mixed side out so it's hard to read anything into their performance and the result. Although I thought Gardner was shocking. I thought a few of the younger players showed a bit of promise though and Heckenberg and Haggerty both need to get fitter, they were both fooked after about 20 minutes.
Hopefully Warrington will put a similar kind of side out against Leigh and we can see how we fair up against them.
