In todays Star(on-line) Mark Aston is concerned over the state of DV after the recent weather. With more snow forecast & cold temps all week , will the game go ahead.

I think Mr Aston should do all he can to play....It will be in better condition now than in a few months.

Tell him the keepmoat is available. With a quick turnaround against two of the favourites, would it be better for it to be postponed until a free weekend?

Free weekends are a problem the CC & NRC round of the 16 coming up.

For me Championship matches should take priority over the NRC .

I don't much like the fact that part time players are asked to play games so close together. it's not football, a bit of running and not much else, its a physical contact sport, bodys are going to be battered and bruised, need time to recover. I often wonder if the people running the game actually played it.

They used to play three game in seven days Christmas Day,Boxing Day & New Years Day & go to work in between , no substitutes in those days & the game was a lot more physical.

Doesn't make it right now, though i wouldn't disagree with what you said , the game is now faster and more demanding imo

In the RL Express Tony hinting we may not have any Dual Reg players from Wakefield for the week end due to injuries at Wakefield. That is why he has gone for loan players to cover our injury problems .



Nothing much said about James Claire recently , thought he was on a season long loan, or am I mistaken.

Clare has been a bit of.a mystery...., without the dual reg players it sure leaves us a bit thin , with the injuries. If we get anything from these games over Easter, it would be a bonus. All teams can have an off day, so fingers crossed. Does make you wonder if this dual reg is worth it though, too eratic

The thing about Claire he was supposed to be on a season long loan but Cas have recalled him twice I think.



Like you say we are short of players , without the dual reg players I think we have 19 fit or close to fitness for the coming week end that is not including Broughton & Claire .
