Seems we're heading down the path to having quasi-feeder/farm teams. I know we have a link-up with Workington, but the logistics of that might be an issue and from what I've seen of the rules Cumbria counts as non-heartlands

, so we could form another partnership.

Bradford - Dewsbury

Wigan - Leigh

Leeds - Hunslet



Plus Hull-York, I believe. And Wigan are, in addition, involved with the Welsh RL.



At the risk of inviting some really gormless trolling, has anybody heard anything about Rovers' plans?



Sheffield would be convenient, but are probably too big a club to want to surrender any independence.

Wigan and Leigh? Can't see the Leythers beign too chuffed about that.



How about Hunslet, their grounds like a big wind tunnel so it would be practice for CP and they have nice shirts. Myrtle and flame, cool colours them.



Wouldn't have though Sheffield are that big and realistically I think it would needto be a Championship team for the standard. Maybe Oldham, they can lodge at Secret Hill Top lair, very reasonable rates and five star facilities. They do not get control of the telly box though.

Workington seemed to work well with Peterson. Didn't Green also go there early on in the season but end up at Batley?

it was announced about this time last year we were hooking up with Workington, this came about after forming a frienship after we let them have all the gate receipts from a CC game there a few years ago, 3 players went there Peterson, Green and Johnson, Green went to Batley as Sandercock wanted him to play at a higher level for his development.

Saints main link-up is with Rochdale rather than Doncaster, according to Skytext - which makes more sense.

Saints U-20 this year will be Rochdale's head coach next year.

Could Doncaster be an option for us?
