Replay`s won`t ever happen ,pretty sure they brought in golden point to stop the the possibility of draws in finals...but i could be wrong..

You are wrong if needed they would be a replay, that's the only way hull would win now at a different ground

Yeah we lost in the cup to wire on golden point think it was briers! That earnt me £100 though I had both halves to finish as draws at 100/1 wish I had put more than a pound on!

Save in respect of the Final, in the event of a draw, at the end of regular time, then Cup Tie shall then be decided by a "Golden Point". During this period of Golden Point teams shall be allowed to make three additional interchanges.

For the avoidance of doubt any unused interchanges from normal time are carried over and may be used in the period of Golden Point

anyways back on topic....... i would expect us to challenge for wins at our last two remaining games so a finish total of 30pts...which would not be a bad haul for the season tbh.... lets just hope the team keeps its composure and goes about the job properly in the last couple of games...

Then we would end up:

Rovers 30 pts

Saints 29 pts

Hull 28 pts

Catalans 28 pts



Giving us a home Play Off with the French.

Looking at league positions then only 1 of those games would be against form as Saints are above Hull.

All the rest are far from 'out there' formwise.

We have by far the best run-in as we are the only team to play a sub top 8 side. It's doubly fortunate that both our games are in that bracket.

I also fear it's part of our possible downfall. If we don't go into the Widnes game with the same attitude as if it was a top 8 team, I think we may frep it all away.

that would be a cracker! home playoff tie would be great. widnes won't be a push over, not expecting much resistance from London, but we still have to be on our game.

We are going to have to be at our very best to beat Widnes on sunday. Their victory last time out away at Warrington with only 12 men was outstanding. Win the game and it will put us in a very good position going into the London game.

A lot will depend on Friday night, with all the other "5-8" clubs in action. We have an advantage in both the 2 remaining games in playing after all the other games, but it could work out to be academic.

we have dropped some soft points this year, if someone had said we would be in the playoffs at the beginning of April I would have laughed. we are here, I just hope we can compete and not just make up the numbers. pride, effort and a few tries to boot - the things that were missing at Wembley on Saturday.

You're right Stan. We have the advantage of seeing the other results so can 'manipulate' our position if need be.

Will we be the club that finally kills off the Broncos in SL. Might be their last ever game. Wouldn't suprise me if London put up a fight because of that. Either way, Tony Clubb can stay after the game if he wishes, for a few seasons.

We will do well to stay ahead of you given the games we both have to play. However, Wigan have named a very young squad for our game on Friday, so we may sneak a result

Just seen Wigan's 19 for friday and I think it is fair to say that our chances of a home tie have just diminished. Only 6 in the 19 were in the 17 at Wembley. No S. Tomkins, Charnley, Richards, Green, Smith, O'Loughlin, Hansen, McIlorum, Mossup or Farrell. Or Goulding - though tbf we was knocked out.

Even though it gives us a good chance of the 2 points (i still dont think we will win however!), it does undermine the competiition that Wigan dont really care what posiition they finish in now

Yeah, I know you're missing a few too, but you should have enough to see off that squad. I was going to say 'comfortably', but being Wigan they'll be well prepared and the kids will be hungry.

i just get the feeling that our heads are gone for the season now and they just want it over with - will be happy to be proved wrong though!
