Was only really young at the time but yeah I've heard of that incident so may have been same game.  Worst tumble I've ever seen was a Premiership referee after a shove from Paulo Di Canio years ago.  |

Rovers had already won the league by the time that Derby was played and IIRC rested a few 'injured' players in preparation for the Play-offs, it proved to be the right deciosion by Millward since we went on the win the Premiership. We won the championship with a few games to spare and lost the remaining league matches including the Hull game!.

I'm not so sure we lost because we were resting players more that we were red hot favourites going into that match having won the league and as so often happens in a derby we then went and lost! I can't remember what the official attendance was for that match but I reckon we must have fiddled it because I had rarely seen the old craven park much fuller I bet it looks good on TV |

yes that brings it all back, good report that, I was only a young boy myself at the time and vividly remember len and freddie ah kuoi going at it hammer and tongs thought at the time ah kuoi should have gone with him, always thought the linesman had took a dive on the way off, one of the strangest things I think I've seen on a rugby field that and Jeff Grayshons Bradford walk off.
