The props won this for Rovers. Walker, Beaumont, Paea, Tuimavave & Lovegrove got over the top on virtually every drive.



With better handling in the Saints 20, we would have stolled it.

I think last weekend was a wake up call to both of our teams. You beating us has certainly focused our minds and likewise what Wigan did to you looks to have had the same effect. Lets hope we can both carry this forward and finish in respectable positions at the end of the normal rounds.

Props were very good. Most of the team seemed able to make another 3-4m in the tackle after the initial contact. Just the timing & ball movement seemed a bit off. Very similar to the Cas 2nd half. I'm sure the half-time message on both occasions was just to cut out the errors & play for territory. At least we've shown we can grind out results & not just outscore the opposition.

Chunk it on hudds next week though

Worst saints side since SL began and decimated by injuries. Losing this week would have been more of a worry than being bummed by wigan last week

An injury hit Saints side were poor, why on earth is Brown playing the slug like Wellens at six?



I criticized Graeme Horne heavily when playing centre earlier in the season but he put a great shift in today, as did Josh Hodgson going the full eighty. Alex Brown finished his try very well, took a bit of scoring that, strong upper body strength and backed himself.



Tactically we were very good, Sandercock deserves credit for that.

They were at full strength for that game and on their own patch. let's see how rovers do there later in the season before being too cocky

I've thought for a while that our middle players have been playing very well and I think we have one of the most underrated packs in the league.



We bullied Hull on Good Friday and we bullied Saints today - even though Paea wasn't quite himself (looked tired) and Tuimavave had to go off injured. Nathan Brown said post match that Saints failed to put Rovers players down 40 times at the play-the-ball which goes to show the physical strength of the players.



Like Sandra said Walker was the pick of the forwards and he really is starting to find some great form - the kid is still only 20 years old as well. He starting to look like a great signing.



I'm also please Beaumont at long last is starting to prove he can cut it at this level and that Cox is finally starting to settle in to the right second-row slot where his 6ft 6" frame can do a lot of damage on the edge.



Our best back was Alex Brown, the lad continues to improve every week and looks like another good signing.



With Tuimavave missing for 4 to 6 weeks with a calf problem we may see James Green make his first appearance of the season next week; another massive homegrown forward at 6ft 7".
