| Quote No1 Saint="No1 Saint"So the answers no then. I wonder how interesting you would have found it if the bigger clubs in the league forced the rfl to ditch the cap then just sailed away into the financial distance before the good Dr came along? Clubs like wigoon buying up players just to keep them away from other teams like they used too.
Things change with money but as a whole the game is skint, allow a handfull of teams to pull away completely and it will be as dull and predictable as the premier league in football (sky big it up but it's just the same crap year on year) or La Liga where only 2 teams have any chance'"
The super league is dull and predictable now!! And tbh if the top teams did force the RFL to get rid of the salary cap and did spend away the league would be nothing different to what it's like now. The same teams at the top and same at the bottom, JUST LIKE THE PREMIER LEAGUE USED TO BE LIKE BEFORE CHELSEA AND MAN CITY! with Dr Koukash there's a chance if a different team challenging which believe it of not will make the game more interesting and not another forgone conclusion.

| Quote RED LEAGUE="RED LEAGUE"Well seen as Wigan and Warrington have "apparently" done it before its just a different teams turn now. How many people do you hear saying they wish Man City never did what they did in 2012? Nobody because its a change and makes the game more interesting?'"
And us. Don't forget us.

| I'm happy Koukash is plowing money into Salford, Rugby League needs a strong Manchester based team to progress. I would love to see Salford win the league, it would be great for our comp.

| You would have to be an idiot not to be supportive of Dr Koukash's investment in not only Salford, but also Super League. Dont forget this was a club that 7 months ago were on the verge of extinction, that's 140 years of history gone. Instead of being ridiculed Koukash should be thanked for investing in rugby league, whilst it makes Salford a stronger team it also makes Super League a stronger and much more competitive product.
Koukash investment in Salford will filter down through other clubs, look at the Elliot Whitehead saga. He offered Bradford in excess of £100,000.00 for his transfer, how can that not be a good thing for clubs, particularly those with recent financial problems like Bradford. Investment like this enables these clubs to strengthen and/or invest themselves into youth, marketing, stadium improvements, community work etc. It will be the same if/when Rangi Chase signs as a transfer fee will be applicable to Castleford.
Not only that, when was the last time you saw a team that was sat at the bottom of the league for the majority of the season getting so many column inches in the newspapers and press. Whether you agree with what he says or not, he puts himself, Salford City Reds and rugby league in the limelight continually.
He also mixes in very wealthy circles as we saw at Royal Ascot a couple of weeks ago, with Koukash continually sounding off to everyone and anyone who will listen about how fantastic Super League is, we are bound to attract even more wealthy backers into the game.
It's early to say, and time will only tell, but he is potentially one of the best things to happen in the Super League era.

| Anything that helps more teams spend up to the cap is a good thing and improves the competition as a whole.

Spot on! I quite like the Dr, he seems very passionate and is desperate to make a success of things which can only be a good thing for Salford who could have ended up bust without him. Our game needs people like this involved and he is definitely a character and has created a lot of attention in the media for SL which again can only be a good thing.

Rangi Koukash?
Is this why he was so keen to buy into Rugby League? He's Rangi's father?
