What was interesting was that Wigan came out and thanked Widnes for allowing the dual contract to be cancelled - the club who benefits from this i.e. Cas, couldn't bring themselves to show the same courtesy.



It appears that although we had the choice to say no, there wasn't much point as we also have Laim Farrell on dual contract and Ben Davies on loan. No doubt had we refused to cancel Ainscough's dual deal, Wiagn would have recalled all 3 players and we wouldn't have been able to make any more dual deals.



We basically have allowed Wigan to all over us and thanked them for doing so. IMO Widnes should have told Wigan where to go. Having Davies and Farrell on loan helps us out a tad, but I very much doubt either player is going make much difference to our season overall.

Here is an idea, albeit a crazy one. Why not produce your own players rather than rely on Wigan to send you youngsters.

Here's another one: Why don't superleague teams release young players that they cannot afford to keep rather than relying on others to subsidise their paranoid desire to hang on to all the potential talent

Because the standard of player you receive now is superior to that lot.
