Sean Ainscough , W1g4n winger on a dual contract with the Pies and Widnes has been loaned out to Cas to replace Richard Owen , so he could in effect play for 3 different clubs in 3 weeks

Yup, looks that way. The "Dual" contract system was always weighted in favour of the SL club and that was fair enough. Championship club knows the risk (of injuries etc.) and takes their chances. This turn of events is a stinker though. Almost certainly not covered in the drafted "rules" when clearly it should have been.



Have the RFL had any say in this arrangement? It may not be against the letter of the "law" but surely it is against the spirit?

Just to highlight the absurdity of this, part of the loan agreement with Cas is that he can't play for them against Wigan on 21st March. Could he theoretically play for Widnes that weekend instead ?

Possibly, but as much of a talent the lad is picking and choosing matches will only unsettle the squad

No, Widnes play Fax on the 18th. I hear he's being lent to Leigh in their match against Whitehaven on the 21st.

Maybe we could just have a weekly auction , all SL players not playing any given weekend could be auctioned off to the highest Championship bidder
