Indeed! Kris will be nothing but a good influence on everyone involved in the club. Nobody has ever had a bad word to say about him. Complete pro & he bleeds Cherry & White. Definatley a future head coach.

Speaking about the new role, Chairman Ian Lenagan said:



“This is an important role within the organisation and an area identified as needing improvement to ensure that today's new standards, disciplines and levels of performance, skills and behaviour required from a Wigan player are the same from Scholarship to First Team. Kris has quickly shown his qualities already in Scholarship Management and in his special role with the England Team and is a perfect candidate. He will liaise between Michael and all other aspects of the Club to enhance the smooth running of the Performance Department.”



A few of the young players please take note.

When I've heard Kris speak about youngsters signing for the club he often mentions that their signature means this is the begining not the final achievement. I've heard him suggest that sometimes very young lads can be seen strutting around town like "Johnny Big Time".



The off field performance of players is going to be under more scrutiny than ever before and this can only be a very good thing.



Another telling phrase whichs shows the direction the club is headed is that Kris will work with Cameron Phelps and his understudy Josh Vievers. Looks like the way it's going is that "if you're good enough you will be given the opportunity". Lets hope that when his time does come Josh can take his opportunity.

I'm chuffed to bits that Rads has a full time job with the club.



Maybe its me being thick, but after reading it a couple of times I'm still confused about what the job actually involves.

Great news (even if I am slightly unsure what the remit of this position is), Radders at the club doing anything can only be good.



This isn't meant to be negative, just I am not sure if I have missed something, but do we still not have a coach for the youth teams and reserves with Wane stepping up (not that I do not doubt IL will produce another quality person for it if the position is not filled)?

They have team managers in the NRL. I'm guessing it's something similar to that.
