So in summary the stats were pretty even except clearly their pack made more yards per carry and that was the simple difference. Similar to what Saints did mid season at Wigan last year but we managed to rectify that in the Grand Final.

I'd say the main difference was errors/penalties too.

Any idea what the completion rates where for each half??

The penalty count was 10-5 in our favour. Errors were 15-14. I suppose if their is a stat for Key errors we'd get punished but a big difference was we didn't buy any luck with our kicks (three no try decisions showing that).

Completion rate was very poor.

Maguire said it was 50% in the 2nd half.

I was told 62% overall.

Neither are good enough to win any game never mind against Wire who were in top form.

I text Jane with the half time score and told her it was a miracle we were only 6 behind!

As has been said though, we did have three "tries" disallowed.

It was 85% at half time so it shows how much it dropped. We lacked composure, similar to the Hull FC game. I mean every time we got a penalty in good range, I don't think we reached a last tackle without knocking on.
