Was told by the old man during the week that some of the Richardsons (Di not Ted) were down at BV for the last home game.

They were sat in the east stand and got a load of banter from our fans (good on them- as long as it was in good taste). That got me thinking; has anyone else seen any of them attending any games?



People in Wakefield have very long memories, especially WT fans! Can't see them being very welcome tbh- more so in the corner by the old scoreboard. "Tony" (One of the legends of the die-hards!) is still fuming!!!







TBH I do feel sorry for Ted in some respects as deep down I have no doubt he loves WT, he just put himself first when he should have stepped aside 10 years before he actually did.



Would anyone welcome them in as paying fans or do we believe they should "observe from a distance" in respect of the fans & our emotions?

We need as many punters through the gate as possible especially paying ones. Whatever may or may not have happened things have moved on so we should all be concentrating on the future and the new regime rather than on the past.

Think most people have moved on. The club appears to be in better shape now and its best to concentrate on the future and what that may bring rather than the past, nothing we do as supporters will change whats happened.



Personally wouldn't have an issue, their support and money is just as good as anyone elses.

If they pay then fair enough, like JT says lets learn lessons from the past but look to the future and move on.

every paying supporter counts don’t like them never did never will but their money is as good as anybody else’s. Just so long as they have nothing to do with the running of the club.

The Chairman of the FA would be a good move for Ted

Agreed KK. Ted and co did some good stuff for us but un the end held on for too long. They have and always will be Wakefield trinity supporters so if they want to part with their cash and support the lads then they should be made as welcome as any other fan. That's the thing now, they don't have any ties to the club and are just supporters, whatever been done has been done and there's nothing anyone can do to change it. Time to move on to brighter and better things and forget about the past. We need ad many supporters as possible

It's no more our place to say they're not welcome than it is theirs' to get in for nothing.



And we all know what happened to Belle Vue. They provided the capital at a time when the club needed it by buying Belle Vue, hoping to cash it in for a profit when we moved on. No one had a problem with it when it was someone unconnected to the club, until we found that it was. It was the secrecy that let him down in the end. Lot of passion for the club got mixed up with self-interest. A heady mix.

I saw Diane at the HKR game - I was mildly surprised, then I forgot about it until just now.



If they can take the jibes that will inevitably be levelled at them, then it's entirely their call I suppose. Personally, I'm indifferent.

I certainly don’t believe that we have moved on from we are now. No matter how better the club seems to be run today, nothing is going to change the fact that we are looking down the barrel of eviction from SL. All this is directly related to the last couple of years of the Richardsons rein!



I would personally like Ted to come forward and give his version of events, especially regarding what happened with the sale of BV. This sorry episode will always linger amongst the fans until we get some kind of closure, considering we are looking at a long time in the RL wilderness (possibly for ever) it’s something the fans deserve.
