Michaels has always worked hard and I think he was made the scapegoat from Yeamans poor recent form.

Yeaman upped his game a little in the last two matches but is still not good enough to warrant a contract extension.

He was impressive tonight. Got through a load of work very efficiently. Wish he would score a few more tries though.

He made a vital tackle when we were 12 down (I think) that kept us in the game.

But for that it would have been goodnight Vienna for us me reckons.

I like micheals. he is a grafter. rarely lets us down, as said above, could do with a few more tries, but he is a centre then a winger and back and forth.

but if lineham is to leave, with micheals, naughton on Lancaster waiting in the wings, it will soften the blow IMO

His best game, particularly second half. Still needs to produce a lot more like that to be worth another deal though, IMO.

Michaels shepherded the Widnes player towards the touchline and waited for Yeaman to arrive and make the tackle. But for the work done by Michaels, Yeaman wouldn't have got there in time to make the hit and Widnes would have scored.

Criticised michaels on the past but for effort alone last night he was fantastic

Agree played well, been average all year though prior to this game.

Played well, but doesnt offer enough for a contract extension in my opinion, his money and quota spot can be used elsewhere
